Entry Criteria

A 10 Step Guide to Entering The 2017 Performance Marketing Awards
  1. Decide which category you wish to enter by visiting our categories page.
  2. Complete the entry offline and convert to PDF format. It is recommended that you use the bespoke entry forms provided so you do not get marked down by missing out a section. You can download the templates here.
  3. Your written entry must be no more than the equivalent of two sides of A4 in a minimum of 10 point type, and must be saved in .pdf. Entries which do not adhere to these rules will automatically face a penalty deduction from the judges.
  4. The completed entry may be accompanied if desired by a single piece of supporting evidence if you feel it adds value to your entry. This could be in the form of an image or PDF.
  5. If part of your entry contains video, host the video online using a service such as Vimeo, Youtube, Dropbox or your own server, and include the URL in the supporting evidence box along with password if access is protected.
  6. At point of entry please submit your logo as a vector EPS or AI file type – this will be shown on screen at the awards should you be shortlisted.
  7. Return to the website, complete the online form and upload your PDF, supporting evidence (if applicable) and upload a vector .eps or .ai logo for each partner involved in this entry (maximum of 3) by midnight 20 Jan. Entries made after this date will incur a charge. Late entries deadline is midnight 27 Jan.
  8. Complete your payment details.
  9. All submissions must be submitted online by the deadline. Once your application has been received you will be emailed confirmation of entry along with a VAT receipt.

Who Can Enter?

The awards are open to Advertisers, Publishers, Media Owners, Agencies, Networks, Start-ups, Technology Providers or Individuals who operate in the Performance Marketing sector.

Entries may be made directly by the company or via an authorised agent such as their network, agency or PR agency.

Entries may be submitted for multiple categories subject to an additional entry fee. Each submission however, must be tailored to fit the category and use the correct entry template supplied.

Entry Fees

The standard entry fee is £195.00 for the first entry with subsequent entries at a rate of £155.00. The late entry fee is £265.00 per entry.

If submitting multiple entries in separate sessions please use the same email address to receive the discounted, subsequent entry fee.

Industry Choice of Partner entries are free but will incur a commitment fee of £5 to validate the entry. This will be refunded within two working days.


Submissions should relate to activity within the UK and the eligibility period of 1st January 2016 – 27th January 2017. The Global Excellence award is the only award that can refer to activity outside of the UK.

Please note that entries which have been submitted for the 2016 Performance Marketing Awards cannot be submitted in 2017, unless it can be proved that substantial developments have taken place.

The entry must generate revenue based on a performance metric. Hybrid or Tenancy type campaigns can be entered on condition that there is some CPA / performance-based commission attached.

Templates Available

We have created a set of entry templates to use. These are not mandatory but they are recommended and you must follow the criteria set by them and answer each section in full.

There is a bespoke entry template for each category. Please ensure you are using the correct one as judging criteria differs for certain awards.

If you wish to design your own template this is accepted but your entry cannot be more than 2 pages A4.

Withdrawing an Entry

An entry may be withdrawn for any reason up until 27 Feb 2017 upon written request; however the entry fee is non-refundable.

Commercial Confidence

It is very important that entry forms are completed in their entirety. One of the biggest reasons for point deduction by judges is not including clear evidence of commercial success and ROI. Especially problematic for an awards ceremony that is geared around measureable marketing. More information and greater transparency will enable the judges to score you fairly.

For the purpose of judging all information will be supplied only to the judges under a Non Disclosure Agreement. However for editorial write-ups and to portray why you've won on the night some information may be garnered from your entry.

Anything that is therefore commercially sensitive that you wish not to be disclosed must be highlighted for ‘Judges eyes only’.
